Chapter 3051
James did not ask what kind of boons they had obtained. However, judging from their satisfied expressions, the two
acquired quite a few treasures.
Jules asked with a bright smile, "Where are you going next, Mr. Caden? It won't be long until the Elixir Pavilion’s
conference to recruit new disciples. Why don't we head there directly?"
He invited James to the Elixir Pavilion once more.
James was an unrivaled powerhouse, and if they could bring him in as a judge during the conference, then the Elixir
Pavilion would surely benefit from it.
"But...”
Jules looked at Monica and said, "Before we go to the Elixir Pavilion, I'll have to pay the World Pavilion a visit to
officially make Monica my wife."
Monica's expression immediately changed.
She did not want to marry him.
Although he was the Elixir Pavilion's Young Master, she had no intentions of marrying him.
However, she had no choice.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHer sect had already approved the marriage, and she could not refuse it.
After thinking for a while, an idea popped into her mind. She immediately prostrated herself on the ground in front
of James.
James was stunned by her actions. He stared at her and asked, "What are you doing?"
'Teacher."
While on the ground, Monica spoke reverently. "Teacher, I was blind to not recognize your strength. After following
you here, my eyes were opened to your true capabilities. I sincerely ask that you accept me as your disciple. I'll
follow you and stay by your side forever."
Monica planned to become James' disciple.
As long as James accepted her, she would not have to marry Jules.

James looked at hertroubledly.
He had a low cultivation rank and was only at the Sage Rank’s Twenty-Fifth Stage. Meanwhile, Monica was already a
Quasi-Emperor. James also had no idea how accomplished she was.
How could he be qualified to be the mentor of a Quasi-Emperor?
"Please accept me, Mr. Caden."
Monica kneeled on the ground and wrapped her arms around James' thigh. Her flawless face looked at him
pleadingly.
Her actions dumbfounded Jules.
After a moment's pause, he caught on to what Monica was trying to accomplish. She was evidently trying to avoid
marrying him.
Jules quickly said, "Please refrain from doing so, Mr. Caden. She's the World Pavilion's Grand Priestess and already
has a teacher within the sect. If you accept her as a disciple, she'll be betraying her sect. If she is capable of
betraying her sect so easily now, she'll do the same to you in the future. It's best if you don't accept a disciple like
her."
Monica gritted her teeth and glared furiously at Jules.
However, she kept her cool.
With a bright smile, she said, "Mr. Caden, shall we first return to the World Pavilion? I’ll formally cut ties with them.
Becoming your disciple shouldn't be a problem after that.”
Monica had obtained numerous boons this time around. The World Pavilion should allow her to leave if she offered
the treasures to them.
James was an insightful person and understood that Monica was unwilling to marry Jules.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHe had never coerced anyone throughout his cultivation path, especially not women.
Since Monica did not want the marriage, he decided to help her.
James replied softly, "Alright, I’ll follow your lead then."
Hearing James agreeing to her request, Monica immediately kowtowed a few times; her forehead touching the
ground each time she bent over.
Jules watched despondently.
Suddenly, he also came up with an idea. He kneeled to the ground and said, "Mr. Caden, I'd like to formally ask you
for Monica's hand in marriage. Please allow your newly recruited disciple, Monica, to marry me."
Monica quickly stood up and tugged James' arm, saying coquettishly, "Sir, I don't want to marry him."
James did not know how to react in this situation.
He looked at Jules kneeling on the ground and said, ‘That's enough. Since she doesn't want to get married, then
leave her be. As the Elixir Pavilion's Young Master, you can easily obtain another woman. Why bother wasting time
on her?"
Monica grinned brightly, revealing her sparkling teeth. "I knew you were sensible, Sir!"
Jules stood up in disappointment. He knew that since James accepted Monica as his disciple, his chances of getting
with her were as good as none.
