Chapter 1221:
Barry sensed something unusual in Keaton’s tone. “What are you implying, Keaton? Do you wantto hand
Milford over?”
“Let's not talk about that now. The real issue is, have you considered the consequences if he gets caught?”
Keaton posed the question directly.
“Yes, but he saved Lisa's life. | owe him. | must help him,” Barry said firmly.
Keaton was frustrated by Barry's stance. He took a moment to calm himself before saying, “I have a safe place
here. Why don’t you send that guy over to me?”
However, Barry no longer felt that Keaton was trustworthy, so he replied, “Forget it. | don’t want to drag you into
this. I'll take care of him myself.” Then, Barry ended the call.
Keaton was upset by Barry’s stubbornness. He wondered, could Barry really afford to upset Bryan?
After sthought, Keaton dialed a manager at a construction site, someone he had introduced to Barry and
with whom he had a good relationship. He posed a few questions, and the manager divulged Milford’s location.
“A couple of days ago, Barry mentioned that the building in Stratford had been completed for two years. He
repeatedly confirmed the costs from that tand the minimum revenue we needed to ensure we didn’t lose
money. So, these days, Milford is likely in Stratford collecting the money.”

likely in Stratford collecting money now.”
“Okay, I'll figure something out,” Presley replied as she glanced out the window. Colby’s car was nowhere in sight
now.

Presley quickly changed her clothes and rushed downstairs, driving towards Stratford.
At the Stratford Restaurant, the establishment had been operational for over three months. It had taken several
years to complete the five-story building, but the final payments had not yet been settled.
The restaurant was bustling with activity. Milford had spent two days determining the identity of the restaurant
owner. He had even feigned a complaint about the food to strike up a conversation with the owner.
The owner was notoriously stingy, known for delaying payments to contractors and salaries to employees,
though he always eventually paid.
After sthought, Milford pulled out a document from his pocket, provided by Barry. He cornered the
restaurant owner as the owner opened the restaurant in the morning.
“It’s you!” The owner recognized Milford and questioned, “Are you here to cause trouble?”
“Of course not. I'm here to talk business with you,” Milford replied. “I will help you save about thirty thousand
dollars annually.”
The restaurant owner didn’t believe Milford. “Which restaurant sent you here as a spy? Young man, don’t even
try to fool me!” He then tried to leave.
Milford quickly said, “Hearout before you decide if I'm a spy or not.”
