Derek laughed at the obvious happiness on Madelyn’s face. “You little rascal,” he said, “You've always been so

mischievous, and you never let anyone tell you what to do. Now, it seems you've taken a real liking to Sebastian.

“Dad, what are you talking about? You'll always be my one and only dad,” Madelyn said comfortingly, laying her

head on Derek's shoulder.

Derek felt his heart swell with joy. However, moments later, he let out a sigh.

Derek felt a headache coming as he listened to their loud protest. “Eunice is still young, and she does not have

resigned tone.
