Pittsbrew was beautiful, but Nadine didn't have the heart to enjoy it. It was early spring, and the sun shone brightly, almost like a prelude to summer.

Brad and Nadine were having lunch with Sebastian at the hotel. Sean, having been raised well by Nadine, stayed silent despite seeing his dad and Sebastian exchange banter.

Pittsbrew cuisine was notoriously spicy, and despite Nadine's effort to order milder dishes, the heat still got to her. Her lips turned a bright red as she hissed and gasped from the heat.

Noticing her discomfort, Sebastian poured her a glass of lemon water. "Nad, try this. It should help with the spice." As soon as he placed the glass of water next to Nadine, Brad snatched it away. He downed the lemon water in one go, setting the empty glass down with a satisfied smack of his lips. "Thanks, but that wasn't enough. Mind gettinganother?" Holding the glass elegantly in his right hand, Brad handed it to Sebastian with a disdainful look in his eyes, treating him as if he was nothing more than a waiter.

Sebastian's hands, resting beneath the table, balled into fists as he glared at Brad. "That was for Nad. What gives you the right to drink it?" That insufferable man had already divorced Nadine. Yet, he was still here, clinging to her like a piece of gum. If Nadine wasn't around, Sebastian would've punched Brad already. But no, he had to maintain his gentlemanly image in front of her.

"Could you stop clinging to Nad like a leech, Brad? She absolutely hates clingy men." met Brad wasn't one to back down. He shot him a cold look and immediately fired back, "Mr. Caldwell, only asked you to poura glass of water. Why are you complaining? If you hadn't picked this restaurant, Nad wouldn't be in this situation! Content bétongs to "I was just checking the temperature for Nad. She can't have cold drinks these days, and I'm just looking out for her," he said, staring at Sebastian with a solemn expression. He then flashed a half-smile.

Sebastian desperately wanted to punch Brad. But with Nadine sitting right there, he had no choice but to hold back. He clenched his jaw, and the tension in his face was evident as his muscles twitched with barely contained frustration.

He shot daggers at Brad and reluctantly refilled the glass and placed it on the table. Brad smirked and set the glass in front of Nadine, clearly enjoying his petty victory. "Here, Nad. Drink swater. It'll help."

Before Nadine could refuse, he stuffed the glass into her hand. Lost in the burning sensation she was oplivious to the tension between the two men. She took the glass and downed the water, blissfully unaware of Brad's triumphant grin.

Brad watched as Nadine drained the glass and glanced at Sebastian, m arching his brow. His smile was bright and triumphant. Nadine had just drunk from the sglass Brad had used earlier. That meant they'd shared an indirect kiss.

The mere thought of it sent dopamine coursing through his veins, and he couldn't help but feel fined up. Brad noticed the astonished look on Sebastian's face and smiled. "Look away. Nad's almost done. Don't say anything now, or you might make her choke."
