"I'll think about what you said. Now, please let go of me!" Nadine shrugged off Brad's hands and dusted herself off before walking away.
Just a moment ago, when Brad said he was willing to give up on Jean, she had almost agreed to go hwith him. Fortunately, her better judgment kicked in, stopping her from making a rash decision she'd surely cto regret.
Nadine took a deep breath and swallowed her disappointment before walking toward the hospital room door.
