Chapter 118
For a moment, Tyler thought Chris was about to step inside to check on Olivia. But instead. Chris turned on his
heel and walked away.
His movements were sharp, but his steps were unsteady. Clearly, the fight had taken a toll on him.
Tyler blinked in surprise. “Huh?”
He had not expected that. With Olivia's painful cries and Catlin’s frantic attempts to comfort her echoing from
the room, he had assumed Chris would at least take a look. But Chris just left.
For a moment, Tyler could not make sense of it at all.
On Stephanie's side, Elliot drove Stephanie straight to Eastview Tower.
As she stepped out of the car, Elliot spoke. “Mr. Giovanni has sbusiness to attend to today, so he can only
join you for dinner.
Stephanie nodded obediently. “Got it.”
Then, without another word, she turned and walked inside.
Elliot watched her retreating figure for a moment before pulling out his phone and dialing Sebastian. “Hi, Mr.
Giovanni”
“You went to see Mrs. Blackwood?” Sebastian asked.
“Yes. We also ran into the Hart family and Chris,” said Elliot.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAt those words, silence filled the other end of the line. Even through the phone, Elliot could feel the sheer iciness
radiating from Sebastian.
“Chris seems to have a lot of free time,” Sebastian finally said, his tone razor-sharp.
Elliot responded calmly, “The entire Hart family has nothing better to do. They're constantly hovering around
that woman.”
Not only had they assembled a team of top specialists, but they also insisted on personally keeping Olivia
company.
Chris, in particular, visited the hospital every single day.
“How's Stefi feeling?” Sebastian's voice was noticeably colder now.
Clearly, what truly mattered to him was not how idle the Hart family was but whether their actions had affected
Stephanie’s mood.
Elliot answered, “Miss Giovanni doesn’t seem to care. She acts as if those people don’t exist.”
At that, the tension on the other end eased significantly.
“Okay.” Sebastian's tone was light, and Elliot could hear the satisfaction behind it.
Then Elliot added, “However, Chris and the Hart family are planning to kidnap Miss Giovanni.”
The moment those words left his mouth, the air turned frigid.

Chapter 118
Stephanie had only been in her office for a short while when Chris stormed in unannounced.

Seeing him, she did not even bother hiding her displeasure. “What are you doing here? Barging in without
greeting? Ever heard of common courtesy? People’s tis valuable, you know.”
Chris was already in a foul mood, but hearing that only fueled his anger. His eyes darkened with rage. “How
many people can even reach you on the phone these days?”
His tone was laced with frustration. At this point, aside from him, it was likely that no one in the entire Hart
family or even the Ashford family could get through to her.
Stephanie, however, was completely unfazed by his fury. She took a slow sip from the glass of water on her desk
and said indifferently, “If they can’t get through, then they can’t. It's not like we have any reason to stay in
touch.”
“No reason to stay in touch?” Chris’ temper flared. “Then who do you think you do need to stay in touch with?
Those men?”
Her words hit a nerve. She had cut off all contact with them, which meant the only people she relied on now
were those
men.
The thought of them sent Chris‘ expression into a complete storm. “That man at the hospital, why did he stand

On the way over, Chris had gone over the situation again and again, but no matter how he thought about it, he
could not understand their relationship. Yet, the way he had protected her so fiercely clearly indicated they were
very close.
“This studio? So you did open it with dirty money, didn’t you?” One question after another cflying at
Stephanie, his anger seething to the point where it completely drowned out his logic.
Stephanie, still holding the water glass in her hand, simply threw its contents directly at Chris.

cold.
As it splashed onto Chris’ face, the chill instantly snapped him back to his senses.
